Is there a legit car accident lawyer anyone would recommend to go speak with or is everyone like Morris Bart?

Is everything based off injuries?

It seems in most cases, no matter how minor the accident, the people not at fault are somehow always so injured that they need an ambulance, and the person at fault always just walks away with no injuries. Go figure.

If you wernt taken to the ER by ambulance or if the driver wasn't impaired then good luck finding someone who will represent you.

Make sure you always complain of headaches and get them on record with your doc.

Otherwise, your attorney can't get as much out of the insurance company.

Yes. Many.

No.

Nah. I'd base a settlement request on the expense of the defense counsel's suit.

I just thought we had three types of lawyers in BR. Divorce, injury and DWI. Don't let an injury lawyer talk you into trying to get more than you think is right. I'm sure it has nothing to do with insurance adjusters contesting clear liability cases, etc.

I do practice personal injury, but not in BR, so I have no skin in this game and can give you a honest piece of advice.

Look for a firm that doesn't advertise, BUT is larger than just a one man shingle. You want a firm with a budget and resources, but not one so big that you are just thrown into the pot with all of the other BS cases they pick up off of their advertising. Firms that advertise spend a lot of their time simply filtering which clients they want to keep, one man shops tend to spend their time focused on bigger cases and keeping their staff paid.

There is a happy middle ground that you can find if you do some research.

idiot.

Many Louisianians voted for Fat-Mike Foster's tort reform in the 90s on the promise of watching those rates fall and fall...

What's this!? They kept increasing??

The masses are such a strange phenomenon.

Pretty much, if there is just vehicle damage and no injuries then an attorney will represent you , but will make you pay an hourly rate, plus all court and filling costs, this quickly makes this a losing proposition

If you are "injured" then they will take the case on contingency and you pay nothing up front and they get a percent of winnings, and this is where the trouble comes in
