You're saved by grace, not by works. Of course you can.

I listen to Ghost and I have zero concerns about my mortal soul....honestly listen to what you want and just be a good person.

I find that most holier-than-thou people critisize Metal and what other people do are some of the worst people I've ever met.

Listen to what you want to

Of course you can. There are so many metal moments in The Bible. Remember when Jesus casts out demons and the demons went into a herd of pigs then the pigs ran down the mountain into the sea and died? That's pretty metal.

You're probably not being serious but seriously check out the band I posted. You'll probably like most of them.

We (my wife and I) find Ghost to be funny. I'm not sure which song it is but lyrics basically say "are you ready to swear before the devil". But then PAPA Emeritus (sp) says that they are a very spiritual band. WTF

To me the heavy metal devil worship is much like WWEits all show. Some may actually believe and thats ok but for the most part its just a show.

If you listen to that shite you aren't a Christian in my book. I'm in my forties and I grew up in the age of backward masking. I know Satanic music. That's Satanic music

I'm Catholic and listen to mostly dark and heavy music. Slipknot is on repeat while I'm in the gym. Some of the "darkest" people I know with tattoos of skulls on their arms are far better people than me. It's all about character.

quote:

I usually stay away of songs that obviously denounces Christianity or faith - i e The Hand That Feeds by NIN

What? This song is about U.S. foreign policy. It's anti-war, and denounces the blind faith in U.S. military involvement abroad.

To the OP, I don't think God cares about what type music you listen to.

I see a lot of libertines in here saying you can just "listen to whatever you want." Before heavy metal, I was in the church handbell choir. Now I headbang against Jesus and text Satan daily about the most brutal guitar breakdowns. Don't let this happen to your kids!!!!!

You sure is stupid boy.
Music and religion aren't one in the same.

Metallica isn't heavy metal.
