i believe what tripped her up was that she was getting the same answer we're getting, but the answer in the book was different, which is why he asked us to see if we got the same thing too, or if she was crazy. nothing wrong there..

Highest gpa doesn't mean shite in the real nursing world. Book smarts will only carry you so far.
She needs to be able to actually apply that knowledge in the real nursing world.
Meaning....you'll never have to actually figure out dosing rates, etc., but you better damn well be able to question why a patient is getting so much of a drug and know if it's an appropriate dose or did the dr f up the calculation.
And 31 is correct....it ain't my job to do her homework for her.

Who is disputing this with you? Did a poster specifically mention the correlation between high GPA and success in nursing field?

Well her fiance was the one technically asking for help. Most nurses I've known that went through nursing school asked for a little help every now and then. Nothing wrong with asking a simple question. I'm sure at some point you did also while in nursing school.
I've been in the Er when some of the best nurses and doctors I knew stumbled on simple drug calculations knowing they have done it a million times but had a simple brain fart. Not worth you being a sorry bitch about it.
I'm not mad , just disappointed

Typical nurse response. All sass, no answers.

How the hell did you come up with 31?
Posted on 3/16/14 at 7:32 pm to 82fumanchu
wasnt the question deemed flawed?
How is it not acceptable to ask for help when you know you did it right but the answer in the book is wrong................................

I think she is referring to the poster, not an answer to the question.
