I live around tons of Duhe's and they all pronounce it Do-ay.

I also know many Millet's and always heard it pronounced me-yet. Then I went to Nicholls for a semester and everyone pronounced it mil-ay

I've known the pronunciations to change within the same family due to members "falling out" with one another.

How's this for a doozie. The guy executed in the BR Airport, Jeff Doucet, was pronounced Doo-set. His alive and well brother,Roland, is Doo-say. You may have heard of him on local Cajun radio.
