So why did you call this institutional racism?

They still have a good ole boy system in that part of the State. These Sheriffs lose sight of the real world.

because the vast majority are of a certain race are represented, but I also included that certain classes( Po Folks, black or white) are victims of the HUGE Corrections lobby.

I totally agree about the corrections lobby. But I don't know if it's racism. Blacks being overrepresented in prison doesn't automatically mean racism. From what I've seen, prosecutors and sheriffs want convictions and jail time with little regard for skin color.

I completely agree. I don't really see it as racism (as some do). I see it as targeting the lower class(black, white, brown) who were born into a cycle of poverty/crime/incarceration.
And so much of it stems from the "war on drugs!"

Poster boy for what is making Colin Kapernick take a knee... This is a prime example of institutional racism (or even classism), and if you can't see it, you're blind.

Holy shite. You're as stupid as that Sheriff.

Gave you an upvote for proving my point. Although, I'm not sure you're as evolved as you think you are.

I have no context here aside from his comment quoted in the OP. Based on that I hope this MF gets aids.

This isn't '85. Aids is too good for an evil prick like that. And since I don't want to wish death on anyone, I'll hope he gets herpes and anal warts.

my family leased hunting land to him since the 80's. Back in HS I was fishing/shooting with a buddy(non hunting season). he came out, flashed a badge and threatened us with trespassing on my own land. Didn't even apologize after it was settled.

When Paw paw passed I took over managing leases. Found out how little money he was paying, told him we would be parting ways and if I ever saw him on my land I'd have him arrested for trespassing.(ok, i didn't actually say that, but I wanted to)

Yeah. Once you are behind bars you are nothing but an animal to these people.

This is so freaking true. They treat you just like an old caged dog. Prison guards are some of the lowest scum of the Earth. I truly believe that. Stupid, lazy, borderline retarded pieces of shite. Every last one of them.

Gave me an upvote because I made fun of you for not understanding what institutional racism is?

Thanks.

The sheriff doesn't make the sentences.

The more important point is that letting all these people out will likely cost us more than keeping them in.

I mean the slave trade isn't legal anymore so we surely need to loophole the shite out of our prison system on the premise of rehabilitation for the golden goose that is free labor.
