I follow Gary and always notice when he posts devisive topics he gets a ton of reactions and people arguing. When he posts actual solutions for his cause and calls on people in the community to help he gets this;

No comments and a few likes.

This speaks volumes.

There are a few dumb comments in that thread, but overall it seemed like a lot of great ideas.

Had this conversation 20 years ago. Mainly how it would affect social interaction in the future. It basically allows a very unbalanced view of the low side of humanity. It seems like we're overrun with idiots

Once there were idiots all around but you but you didn't know their thoughts or opinions. Now you know and it's very depressing.

Notice the trend? This is the victim mentality in a nut shell. It's always someone else's fault. How about fixing things at home and quit begging for others to do for you.

That's exactly what the ones bitching want. To live as the victim because it's much easier than putting out a real effect and making something out of their lives and really fixing shite.

Compassion, but it might take a war? I think someone has a warped view of what compassion is.

If you look at comments under article about last fruit stand closing you'll see lots of people complaining about no fruit stands in the area. They even take shots at BR fruit stands that have locations in BR or Zachary, but nothing in NBR. Only the middle eastern dude that owns place that Sterling was shot at made a comment about buying it, improving the facility and reopening it. Everyone else was just blaming others, he talks about Buying it and opening it back up. Just a different mindset.

Edit: also great comments about doing an "exit interview" with previous owners to see why it closed.

Developers need to invest in NBR

Developing increases property value

Therefore. . .

They are pro-gentrification

It really is amazing, isn't it? Gary and his idiots bitch and bitch that "they" aren't developing anything in NBR like we are some centrally planned economy or something.

Yet, I guarantee the second businesses would start to develop in NBR that Gary, his followers, and his useful idiots like MM will be on the front lines bitching about "gentrification" and pushing the poor "working class" out of the area.

There is ABSOLUTELY nothing to satisfy these people and there never will be.

A war? What I'm the actual frick?

This is her response to back up her reasoning for the next Battle of BR:

quote:

Y'all act as if this entire country wasn't FOUNDED on war. As if war isn't what was required to bring slavery to an end (and how it still wasn't 100% successful). Y'all act as if there aren't literal wars happening already at protests, in Standing Rock, etc. Y'all act as if a country that spends over 40% on its budget on MILITARY, voted for a man who wants to INCREASE that and build a freaking wall, and views deescalation tactics as "restrictive" would be effected by anything other than violence. Don't be so dense.

Anytime someone requests a "culture shift," what they really mean is they want black activism to win every issue.

I read it as her saying any kind of those "wars" threatens everyone's common goals.

Her clarification

So, can we talk about Meghan again?
If not, is it ok to talk about KB?

One-word answer: Parenting.

Short answer: Parenting and mentoring.

Long answer: Better/more parenting and mentoring to give kids positive role models and end the cycle of poverty.

Property values decreased by at least 5% in Baton Rouge based on these ignorant comments by the so called leaders.
