It is becoming increasingly apparent Broome needs to show some leadership and get out in front of Tuesday's report. She needs to gather leaders from all corners of the parish and make a display of unity, calm, and control. Her handlers may not like it, but Broome should also ask that all outside protest groups not travel to BR. She needs to go out of her way and help diffuse this situation.

In 2005, Kip ruffled a few feathers, but showed tremendous leadership when he announced BR would remain safe and not become a dumping ground for potentially violent Katrina evacuees arriving without organization. Not only did he gain the confidence of the EBR residents, he also forced the government to make real changes with how evacuees were being processed.

The irony for Broome today is that she will ultimately lose her job for the sake of attempting to appease those she counts on for support. The vocal agitators intent on creating mass protest will unleash something she won't be able to handle.

She'll stress that all need to respect the decision of Trump's DOJ.

That statement is boiler plate. She needs to make a display of unity and calm. Right now people are expecting the worst. Maybe I haven't been watching the news today but this isn't doing it.

Don't you get it? Broome and her ilk like the Gravy train want the parts of BR that produce anything worthwhile to burn.

They see anything that isn't kowtowing to their lowest common denominator hoodrat mentality as bad. Any black person who dares to question their idiocy and incompetence is labeled an Uncle Tom, an (animal with stripes and black eyes known for tipping over garbage cans), an Oreo, or they have their "blackness" questioned.

As if part of being black means being an ignorant dipshit with no common decency.

It's sickening and demeaning for decent folks of any stripe.

Entrance wounds really don't look like that. That's more on an exit wound look. Maybe she put the shirt on backwards?

I'm pretty sure Silky Slim designed the shirt and that is what landed him on the Mayor's Advisory Council.
