Broke traded in a nice one to the Pawn Stars people

Chrono avenger FTW. I also like the movado 800 stainless steel

In NOLA, I'd go to Friend's Jewelers on Maple for Breitling

I have a chronomat evolution. Beautiful watch.
Look online. Go to watchuseek. Broke actually runs the Breitling forum there.
You can find deals on used ones. New is going to cost a lot. They don't discount or advertise. And not many stores retail them.
I actually just got mine back from having it serviced. Go watch the YouTube video of their services.
$900........don't frick your crystal up

Absolutely. Gotta put one on. Then price them online.
Rarely but I have seen myself that Costco has breitlings. One case down from a timex and G-Shock. They had Super Oceans I believe.
Watch sites
Timezone.com. Very high end and snobby.
Watchuseek.com same but less snobby.

Breitling can be somewhat of a controversial brand in the watch enthusiasts world...

I'd buy from ken. I like his business. Drink a beer and buy a watch.

Broke post here. He knows a lot about watches. I think he even runs the sales corner forum on watchuseek

Go to watchrecon and search the model you want. I like their SuperOcean Heritage 42 and a few other of their simpler watches. Whatever you do: don't pay MSRP - if you're buying at a store I'd offer 70% or so.

Breitlings are fine watches, the only controversy is from idiots arguing the relative merits of Breitling/Omega/Rolex/etc.
Buying from an Authorized Dealer (AD) will not be cheap, but you know what you're getting and warranty service will be easy.
If you choose to buy online, Govberg Jewelers and any of the other major pre-owned retailers that advertise on Timezone/Watchuseek/etc are good resources.
If you choose to go private deal on the for sale Forums or Ebay, the wisest advice I ever saw was "Buy the seller before you buy the watch" Do some research on good guys and only buying from people with known history can save you a lot of heartache.
Here in DFW area, Haltoms's or Bachendorf's have great selections. Don't assume that the ladies working behing the counter know anything about Breitling. Discounts of 5-15% off MSRP are not unusual, but hard to get as a first time buyer.
I got my Navitimer Cosmonaute from a well-known Ebay retailer with spotless feedback and could not be happier. Pics or it didn't happen!

Hal Martin's in Houston. There is a very popular market for certified pre-owned luxury watches akin to the same for cars.
