The bodies of missing brothers from Baton Rouge, 19 and 12 years old, were found Saturday morning after a lengthy search, according to a report from WKRG.

The older brother was identified by family members as Steward Spencer III, the younger as Joshua Spencer, according to the report.

Horrible. I don't even want to imagine that family's pain of going on a happy vacation and losing 2 of your children. I wonder if the 19 year old was perhaps trying to save the younger and they both drowned? Again, I have idea and I guess the family will never know either. Prayers for the family.

If the 19 year old was like my older brother, he was coaxing the younger one out further.

Yeah, and if the 12 year old was like my brother he didn't need much and was right by my side.

Prayers to the family. The water took my brother. Losing 1 is devastating. I couldn't imagine the families pain.

Sorry for your loss. Think about that drive home without their 2 sons with them. Think about unloading their stuff with no longer there. I don't know how they're going to do that. I don't think I could.

The original article doesn't have much more information than the OP. They did post a picture of both brothers though.

Such an awful tragedy to lose two young family members in a day.

Praying for your family, little dudes. It's gonna be a rough year for them.

They must have just posted that because it wasn't there when I read the article. Horrible tragedy.

Don't blame the Rip. Blame the education system that did not teach them how to go with and out of the rip...

I read in another article that they were only 20 yards from shore. That goes to show how strong that rip tide is...

I don't have an older brother - but I will go ahead and assume 19 year old found himself out further than he could handle because he was trying to save his little brother from drowning.

Of all the stupid things I've seen on here through the years, this one is certainly up there.

I hope that Baton Rouge rallies around this family. I can't even imagine their suffering.

Come on, man... Not the time or place for that.

ETA:

Unless you are getting your BR friends together to show your support in some way...
