Anyone here ever go to The Village?

My family couldn't afford it. I thought it was so fancy that they had parking attendants.
I lived about a quarter mile from Vince's, but again could not afford to eat there. I did go into their convenience store though.

Cajun’s Famous Fried Chicken on Florida near New Generation. They had a buffet that had spicy chicken that was delicious.

Didee's on North Blvd. best duck in La till the place got shut down in the 70s by race riots.
Sabins on Airline.
Rathskeller downtown by the river on Convention.
3 coins
There was a great Sicilian pizza place near good wood that served real pizza, no tomato sauce, anchovies and olive oil. Can't remember their name.

And the GOAT in Baton Rouge--cotton Club. Their seafood platter and po boys can't be touched today.

Anybody remember them?

I don’t remember the place as I was only 9 or so but after LSU baseball games my uncle would bring me to a spot to eat and all I remember was stupidly huge cheese sticks.

Ground patti Sherwood was a treat as a youngster
Panchos on Nicholson was hangover relief while at LSU
Godfathers pizza on Sherwood was THE place in the 70s
There was a bad arse tamale shop off north street way back when. Best I ever ate. Also one over off Florida Blvd by dupree starter and alternator in the 80s.
The China tiger by chimes and silver moon were lights out back in late 80s at LSU.
Raxx roast beef on Sherwood
Po folks was the original Cracker Barrel basically
Ralph and kacoo on airline not far from lafonda (best taco ever made)
Little tiny Italian place off Nicholson called pinettas was unreal good
