No...

he got beat up by the person who was bullying his older brother.

Blake, who has Asperger's syndrome, ADHD and an anxiety disorder, tried to sit at a table and was confronted by another boy. That's when he says the boy who had been bullying his older brother confronted him.

People need to teach their kids not to hit. They model their behavior after the parents. If your kid is a bully, it is your fault. And screw this BS about the "natural order" of things. No child deserves to be bullied, period.

That only says the boy who was bullying his brother saw him. Nothing about him being bullied bc of his ailments.

Ok what if he wasn't beat up because of his condition. Does that make it better?

It probably makes him more vulnerable since he wouldn't be as able to defend himself or defuse the situation. Not that it would have helped him much if he was...

So.. in this story... the thing you key on is the fact that they said he had Asperger's ... and apparently you don't like the fact that they said that? Got it.

Maybe, but that doesn't the mean the assailants weren't aware of his condition.

What exactly are you trying to argue? Do you or do you not think it was a relevant? The article doesn't try to insinuate he was beat up BECAUSE of A.S., but discusses it because it is certainly relevant.

Its like hitting woman and then claiming you didn't hit her because of her sex. You still hit a woman either way.

Yeah, which was going to be my next point. The same goes for hitting someone who is disabled or infirm.

The funny thing is, if the article had said:

Blake, who happens to be black, was approached by his brother's bully...

All of you would be indignant, asking what that had to do with the story.

Every fight I have witnessed between a regular Ed student and inclusion student, the inclusion student had instigated it.
