Have you read much of Asimov's other work? I like how his robot books connect through to his Empire books through to his Foundation books. It takes you through all the social changes that Asimov saw given a certain set of given restraints. Then after finishing them all going back to read The End of Eternity is pretty cool to see how it all gets started in a time travel story. The End of Eternity is probably his best fiction novel imo. Also, the short stories Nightfall and The Last Question are worth looking into. The Last Question was supposed to be Asimov's personal favorite story that he wrote.

The Orvis Guide to Fly Fishing

It's good. The chapters are very short and just offer simple little tips.

Just finished The Jungle. What a tortuously sad read. Fixing to start Devil in the White City, which I've heard much about.

Natchez Burning. I'm torn by it. great story, good writing, good characters, but the white guilt and backhanded christian insults by Iles is really turning me off from it.

I just started reading Natchez Burning as well. How far into it are you? I think I'm about 350 pages into it. I agree with what you're saying about being torn, but I like the story and have read all of his other books so I will read the whole thing

I'm reading Still Alice. For anybody who has dealt with Alzheimer's in their life it's an exceptional read.

Fieldwork- Mischa Berlinski (2007). I missed this when it came out but I highly recommend, good read.

First two books of the 5th Wave series, not bad, great take on what an alien invasion would look like.
