Looks like we were a lot less of a racist country in the 40's and 50's, huh?

I know where he is trying to go - oppression leading to poverty, poverty leading to crime - but he doesn't have much of a leg to stand on with the absent fathers = racism idea.

If I allow it.. this type of stuff could bother me more than anything..

It's so tiresome. Not everything against you is racial Bomani. He talks about being fired before.. Pretty sure people of all types get fired all the time.. This man has a job and can be a positive example.. and instead he rather continue on with the blaming and white shaming.

Oh how this crap holds us back as a society.

There is nothing positive about crying racism 24/7.. even if there is actual racism.. it's not going to stop the ignorant.. and all it is doing is further rallying others to join in and believe everything is racist.

This is such a fricking frustrating world we live in at times.

Racist white cops are killing their fathers or sending them to prison for speeding tickets that white people get out of. Look it up.

The percentage of children born outside of marriage has skyrocketed, with a six-fold increase since 1960. Currently, the figure is highest among blacks, but the rate of increase is highest among whites and Hispanics.

This is a bullshite extrapolation from the data at hand. The "rate of increase" is utterly useless when you start so low in the first place (1950 rates). The rate of change (slope) for the overall trend should be the concern, and while that isn't promising for any race, it is particularly worrisome for blacks.

A guy like Bomani does absolutely no good for whatever his cause may be when he states that racism is the ONLY reason. If you want to make the leaps and bounds necessary to blame some of the underlying issues on racism, be my guest, but it is in no way, shape, or form the ONLY reason for absent fathers and high crime rates.

How did anyone read this,

"It's easy to keep calling America racist. But is racism the only reason for so much black on black crime. For absent fathers."

and get the idea that he is blaming black on black crime and absent fathers on racism in America?

He is stating that in America it is easy to just blame racism, rather then look for other reasons. He then puts forth the same idea in the form of a question, is something other than racism responsible for absent fathers and crime in the black community? At no point did he blame anything on racism.

Yea, EA6B you don't get Twitter. He's quoting someone else's tweet. And saying yes, racism is the only reason.

If you notice, the incline begins at the passage of LBJ's "War On Poverty", which rewards the behavior we still see today.
