Is he trying to say that black men are racists against other black men causing them to commit black on black crimes?

Nobody is terrified of the fact that now whites are at the point that blacks were on the graph in 1970?

Because I am.

I think he is saying that there are so many single mothers in the black community, due to racism that the black men don't want to marry black women either.

What the hell are you blathering about? He clearly is saying racism is to blame for the black community breeding like rabbits and hopping away from the brood consistently.

Yeah the overall trend is not good for any race, but that is more indicative of society at large. According to the graph, since 1960 whites are trending upward at the lowest of the 3 breakdowns and essentially in line with the national rate.

It is worth noting that blacks did experience a near decade downward trend from 1994 to roughly 2004, the only significant downward trend among any race, but those numbers have gone back up in the chart on page 1.

Lastly, the percent of unwed births has actually started to go down across the country. The rate was down again in 2015, the 6th straight year of decreases and the longest such streak since the metric has been measured.

I am. Governmental, legal and societal incentives have consequences.

This topic actually came up on the political talk a few months ago and I did some digging about these "rates"...

If you want to harp on the drastic historical increase in the percentage of births to unwed mothers, you'd be best served by addressing your frustration at MARRIED women.

In 1960 the birth rate for married women of all races was 156.9 per 1000 married women. If that rate held true in 2016, there would have been 4.21MM births to married women instead of the 2.38MM that there actually were. The percentage of babies born to unwed mothers would be 27.5% - basically the equivalent rate in 1988.

The biggest problem with these stats is that fewer people actually get married in general, and of those people that get married, significantly less are actually having children. If you want more nuclear families, have more babies in those nuclear families.

I read that as him calling out others saying racism isn't the only reason. That they can't keep blaming racism for it.

I was previously ridiculed on this site for pointing out that he was nothing but a race baiter.

Seems nearly every black person on television, especially ESPN, has turned into that.

I did too, but he is a race baiter... and it's not a reason at all.

I doubt it. His tweet history the last few days suggests otherwise, and the vast majority of the twitter responses to his tweet read it just like the OP did.
