Progressive weight sets.
They use a combination of super sets, giant sets, drop sets in the first month. Tempo sets throw int too (lifts done at a slow count like 6 seconds eccentric and 6 decentric)
Then second month adds a lot of force sets and combo sets.
Basically overloads the muscles in a dozen different ways to try to stimulate hypertrophy in the shortest amount of time.
My first time through I gained 10lbs in 3 months. My body fat only went up 1%.

How long of a program is it? I assume you can find the workouts online?

Here's an example worksheet that shows it all pretty well.
3 months. You probably can but the DVDs pace you as well as break down the moves if you're not familiar with them. But since you're the all powerful mouton you probably know all of them

Because most people don't have the discipline to diet and would rather post stale jokes online.
Just kidding . Not much to it. Just workout hard and be very strict with what you eat.

For real though: I've lost 15 lbs in the last 3 weeks on a very low carb diet. It does take discipline. It's ridiculous the amount of social cues in our relationships and our environment that tell us to keep eating all day (i.e. - any given Saturday in Louisiana). and that kills the diet, until you go hard again come Monday, with your protein shakes and salads.
It's all about discipline, having a plan, and seeing it through.

Great job on the weight loss. I've found the biggest thing for me is to plan out cheat meals in advance and don't cheat otherwise ever. A cheat meal here and there is no big deal, but if it is not part of your plan it makes it that much easier to cheat the next time.
You should check out the weight loss thread on the food board. The motivation and accountability really helps.

I like it better than p90x. Its more geared towards building muscle. The best part about it over p90x is that the workouts are a little shorter, but they feel a lot shorter. p90x seeemed to drag on forever.

Beast body bump.
I concur on that P90x to much cardio do not want. I don't need to lose weight just build mass. Maybe I can get a body beast thread going like egg's p90x thread. Might change the title.

I didnt realize you were that strict on your diet? What are you goals and what is your target bf%? I've found that with intermittent fasting my diet does not have to super strict at all and I am maintaining right where I want to be at 13-14% at 220.2 lbs (yesterday). I'm 5'11" (&.75" )

Yeah I'm way mor strict with my diet than I am with my workouts unfortunately. I have maintained a pretty low bodyfat % the past year. Probably a tad under 10% at 158 and 5'8". I'm trying to drop down to 150 just to have a goal then probably do a slow clean bulk.

What do you mean by strict? Do you avoid certain foods or beverages? I think alot of people have a ton of misconeptions about diet. I eat 3 strips of bacon and 3 scrambled cheesy eggs fried in butter every single morning along with 1 cup of plain greek yogurt, handful of almonds and tbsp honey every morning for breakfast for about the last 8 months now. Some people would think that's a horrible breakfast but it's actually pretty solid. I then followed that up with a lunch about 2 hrs later of chicken fried steak (about 8 oz) and a cup of broccoli. I ate a slice of pork loin and 2 tbsp peanut butter before gym. Lean ground beef with smoked sausage, grilled fingerling potatoes, edamame and a fried egg for dinner.
Edit: I also ate other meals between that like a protein shake when I got back from gym and a protein bar at about 2pm. Also,I dont eat chicken fried steak everyday. That was more of a treat. I will be eating either meatloaf and corn or salmon and corn today for lunch.

I avoid most processed foods. Lots of fresh vegetables and salads. By strict I mean counting my calories and macros. This morning I had a protein shake with chia seeds. For lunch a salad of spinach and romaine, baby carrots, tomato, cucumber, and slice squash and zuchini, and four boiled eggs. I also brought a single serving pack of hummus with baby carrots for a snack.
It sounds like you do a keto diet which I did in the past with great results. I had recently switched to a vegetarian diet as an experiment to see how I felt. I have really noticed a lot more energy and just overall well being. I have added seafood back into my diet having either boiled shrimp or tuna a few times per day. The main carbs I have or from beans , sprouted grains and fresh usually raw vegetables.
