evidently they purposely anchor in shallow waters for when the tide falls out
The funniest part of this viral video is how many people think it was an accident that 100+ boats did this. My Negatiger cousin I'm always ragging on is one of them.

In the keys all the boats tie up at sandbars. It's our version of the beach. In KW area snipes, Boca Chica, Marvin key, women key, are all packed on weekends.

people are gullible.

How do so many stupid people afford $80k+ boats? Not just in this particular video, but everywhere. I know that area is popular to anchor and hang out on the sand bar, but how do 100's of people not notice the tide falling out?

Does "the tide falling out" mean all the boats become beached, or just that it becomes shallow enough to walk around in waist-deep water? I didn't read the article.

no article. Just some airhead retard that thought they all got caught unaware of a falling tide. Hint: the tide rises and falls 2 times a day there and it's expected and they purposely did this.

Gotcha. So do they actually get beached for a few hours until the tide rises again?

Most of the sandbars are land regardless of the tide. Obviously the amount of land changes with the tide. It's places people congregate Mostly on the weekends.
In general the water is very shallow outside of the boating channels.
It wasn't a surprise, these people do this every weekend.
