Well keep eating it then, genius. Darwin's theory has something to say about lack of self-preservation instinct.

I will.

Well the day any of the following besides healthy applies to me, you may have a point.
quote:

Healthy people rarely become ill from listeria infection, but the disease can be fatal to unborn babies and newborns. People who have weakened immune systems also are at higher risk of life-threatening complications. Prompt antibiotic treatment can help curb the effects of listeria infection.

Until then, don't try to sound smart. It's not working too well.

That is an incredibly, utterly, horribly written headline for the actual story.

This.

Blue Bell is doing their job. They're being transparent in order to avoid headlines like that. Instead, that news station sensationalizes what is a standard statement about their progress.

This is a good general philosophy for you. Why don't you see how much anti-freeze you can ingest before it kills you?

Come on man, you're healthy. Give it a go.

Anti-freeze and listeria are definitely known for their equal effects on the human body.

Sounds to me like Blue Bell is going above and beyond to assure no batch ever leaves their facilities with listeria contamination.

They are right---the bacteria is naturally occurring and has been been forever.

It is a very reassuring sign that they are testing so much that they find the bacteria before it has spread into production.

It could probably be found in every home in Baton Rouge.

Would really love to know the whole story. Where is it coming from? Is it a procedure problem? Angry employee? Competitor? Lazy employee? Bad supplier? Angry supplier? Something? Plain bad luck and they built the damn thing on a portal to hell?

I'm going with Indian Burial Ground.

The problem is nature itself. You cannot keep an entire plant full of nice yummy sugar and cream and expect it to stay clean. It's not like this problem just started, the problem has always been there, because nature.

This latest development is actually a good thing for Bluebell, their testing and procedures have identified problems before they become an actual problem for a consumer.

I mean people died from salmonella from poorly handled chicken before we knew what salmonella was and noone was the wiser. Now we know..because of testing and procedures up into place and now people know the risks. It's all for the better.

Why don't you fatties who eat ice cream make your own homemade ice cream by churning it yourself and just maybe you won't get sick and die and actually have to work for the enjoyment of ice cream.

Blue Bell is not inexpensive and is not premium. It's trash. Everyone should've outgrown Blue Bell by now.

Trash is a strong term, but I get your point. It certainly is not good enough to survive this twice. This definitely might kill the brand and the town.
