Acting like a dick works in your favor at a considerably lower percentage.

This one incident doesn't excuse police brutality

It doesn't. But how many times have we read stories in the past few years that involved people not complying with reasonable officer requests and then want to complain/claim brutality when there are consequences from not complying?

I've dealt with a-hole cops before. I even dealt with an a-hole cop that was racial profiling. But if you really want to get rid of those kinds of cops, giving them an excuse to render your complaint obsolete because of your shitty actions does absolutely nothing for your cause.

Cool story. I did not see a reason to seize the gun though. If the officer had a safety concern why not have him leave the weapon in the driver's vehicle and have the driver step out?

Show me a valid DL, military ID, and carry permit, after a simple equipment stop and I run your DL at your window and send you on your way.

You've never even encountered a cop, yet have the most liberal opinion in the thread. Figures

In most instances, all it takes is respect given, and respect will be received. Color or other factors are irrelevant. Unless you have an agenda to push.

I've been pulled over probably 8 times in the last 1.5 years and have gotten nothing but warnings. The cops that pulled me over were black, white, but mostly Hispanic.

It's not some complicated formula. Don't be abrasive or aggressive and just talk to the guy like a normal person. Also keep your hands on the wheel. It makes them less nervous and it's a sign that you just want things to go quickly and smoothly.

Hell, I just ask them how their day is going and try to shoot the shite and I've been let go without a ticket every time.

His whole existence revolves around race sadly enough. Tangerine is an insecure dude.

As a black man I have to say, this is the corniest shite I've ever read. No one has ever said the police are out to kill minorites, however there is plenty of data out there that points out to the fact the police use excessive force against minorites. That's what the protests are about. This whole post reeks of, "You see, I is a good darkie. I anit like those rabble rousers over there massa."
