wish you people wouldn't recommend herbs and supplements not approved by the FDA

We're talking about sleep induction out of non-medical necessity. There's plenty of non-FDA approved stuff that's great for that.

We can't all just pop Klonipins and seroquel to relax.

the best answer is melatonin used properly. you can use it every night. do your own research.
Melatonin makes you sleepy like a normal person or like it was when you were a young kid. You get sleepy and then go to sleep like a normal person would.
You wake up the way a normal person or like when you were a young kid. You wake and gradually come out of your sleep stupor while you begin to stir and move around and after a few minutes you are awake.
It is not normal to be wide awake as soon as you open your eyes. And no it does not make you drowsy - it makes you normal. Do it and make objective observations about it and you will understand what I'm saying. I've been using it for 17 years and it works every time with no side effects and you do not build up a tolerance for it. you need to find your right dose. More is not better. too much will have the opposite effect. sometimes less is better. a benefit that I do enjoy is the vivid and often lucid fantastic dreams that I have. No nightmares just wild shite.
