I'm going to Cuba for Memorial Day weekend and am not sure where I'm headed yet.

Ive looked at Varadero so far. One of the resorts there has all inclusive everything (including premium liquor and beachside golf). It's only and hour and a half from Havana, so obviously the proximity is nice.

Cayo Sante Maria looks amazing, but it's also 4.5 hours from Havana. Worth it for the long weekend??

Any other suggestions??

Do you speak Spanish? French? German?

You should have a good time being shunned by Europeans, and ripped off by Cubans.

¡Buen provecho!

I see you live in Texas. You´re not going to understand shite. Cubans eat a great part of their letters/syllables.

By what means are you able to access Cuba as a tourist?

What a brag thread this is.

You expect other posters on here to have firsthand knowledge of a country that has been almost totally off limits to Americans for over 50 years?

Also, how are you able to get into Cuba for just pleasure?

Someone didn't do their homework. You still can't just waltz into Cuba.

Sure you can. That doesn't mean they will let him in the country, or more likely when he returns the US Border Agents wonder why there's a two week gap in his passport .

That's assuming of course he pays off the Cuban border guys to not stamp his passport. Bold strategy.
