I hear Cabo is running some deals right now.

BVI blows away any place I've been. Turks and Caicos was really nice too.

Are you looking for party beach resort or relaxing, yet fun beach resort?

Relaxing, yet fun -- Small Hope Bay Lodge , Andros, Bahamas.

Trip Advisor Reviews are excellent.

Went there this Summer. Wonderful time. Open bar, great food, learned to dive. The shark dive was amazing. Free babysitting during happy hour and dinner time -- so those times are adult times. There are only 18 cabins -- so if you are into big crowds, this isn't your thing.

BVI is wonderful. I'm going back in November and we are staying on Peter Island.

Gorgeous place. The only thing is that there isn't a lot to do at Coral Bay other than Skinny Legs. Love the island though. Will spend a few days there before heading over to Peter Island in November. I keep hearing that they are going to add a ferry stop to that side of the island.

Bucket list, but I've priced it and it's around $10-12k.
when you factor in travel expenses.

Yeah and you have to factor in how long it takes to get there as well, so would have to stay there long enough to make it worth it. I think flights alone would cost 3-4K for two people.

Not terrible actually. 7 hour direct from LAX. You don't cross date line.

You have to do 10 days or so to do French Polynesia. Great trip though. I want to go back to Bora Bora and do the Cook Islands.

Yeah that is a once in a lifetime type trip that you need some serious $$$ set aside for. Not a trip you want to be frugal on. Why go there if you aren't staying in a bungalow over the water while there?

True about the date line. The 7 hour flight is to Papeete though. Then you have to do the Papeete to Bora Bora flight which is a little less than an hour. Depending on what time your flight from LA arrives an overnight in Papeete may be required.
