Do people really still care about this? I take public transit to and from work and am currently in a shared workspace. I’m basically a shoe-in for CV. But I really don’t care. I’m exhausted thinking about this whole thing.

The markets are panicking but I'm sure it's sensationalized like most things in the news. I haven't changed anything in my life.

I received an email a few hours ago from our infection preventionist that we still do not have any confirmed cases in La or Ms. These infection prevention folks run thick as thieves and are in the know of what is happening at each hospital before basically anyone.

Yep, we were promised the confirmation was coming very soon and here it is 9:30pm and we’re still discussing a fricking rumor.

honestly today I decided to open the long arse virus thread on the OT to see what’s going on with it.

But I’m like you, I take public transportation in San Francisco everyday and haven’t thought much about Corona

And I’m flying to Italy for 2 weeks next month out of SFO

It is true trust me. It isn't worth a debate. They have a patient who is sick and has passed all tests and they are convinced it is Coronavirus. And the person is not a mild case from what has been shared.

I don't care what y all think, but it deserves to be told.

And those saying it doesn't mean anything, folks like myself have a dad who is on dialysis, a step dad who was told if he ever gets pneumonia again he will die because his last bout was so bad, a step mom who had a stroke years back, and a 89 year old grandpa. Y'all can get fricked.

You are right to be concerned for your family members but you will find that preparedness, sound judgement and caution will be much more effective than anger.

I wouldn't post this if I wasn't sure. It was shared by a doctor in town with my family I'm sure we will learn about it shortly. First case in this dump would be a shocker. I suppose to get an email about it later. If and when I do I will post it immediately.
