Well the deicing pad is out on the taxiway BTR, so it would make sense to taxi to that location to be deiced.

Ever flown out of DIA in the winter? Well you get on the plane and taxi to the deicing pad and the plane gets deiced. But I'm sure you knew that in all of your extensive travels.

BtR is great IMO, I've always been able to get through it extremely fast

I wouldn't call it great. It's certainly not terrible. It's gotten a lot better in recent years with some better planes and overall look. I'd like to see a decent sports bar inside the terminal for when there are delays. The airport is great for quickness and easiness of TSA, but there's next to nothing inside the actual terminal to do if your travel is screwed up.

Baton Rouge might have the worst airport in the nation.

It doesn't compare to Jackson Pississippi. I flew out of JAN on the 5:40AM US Airways flight into CLT. We didn't take off from JAN until 6:20AM because the tower ppl were not there yet. I made my connection with about 2 minutes to spare. When I checked in at the desk in CLT they has just called my name and last call.

Then another time, I was coming home at the flight was suppose to get in at 11:55PM, we had a good wind and landed at 11:38 and had to sit on the plane for 45 minutes for the ground crew to come back. We were literally 5 feet from the gate and then the baggage claim took an hour. How does it take an hour to get the bags off of 1 regional jet?

anyone care to tell me why that Hornets airplane has been on the runway for the last few weeks without moving?

You can see it from Plank. It's been there for a while

The Hornets old B727 is not sitting on the runway, it is parked on an old closed taxiway.

Alright, time to take you to task.

Define worst performing.

ISN has some of the highest network yields despite some of the longest stage lengths in 50-seaters.

Worst performing for us meant on-time departure and arrivals and cancellations. Which lit is the king of if you've flown United in/out of there.

ISN was very productive but it's a dying airport right now. I flew a den-isn in January with 6 people on board then ISN-IAH with 13. It's dependent on oil-workers and prostitutes (I'm not joking about this part either)

Probably something kind of training going on. It was donated about 5 years ago to BRCC.

It was for A&P training at BRCC, but they dropped imtbe program I think.

The plane is mostly used for shooting movies now.

Nah, they are still there on Hooper but I don't think it's going as well as anticipated and they seem focused on their new automotive facility as far as technical training is concerned.

It's great little airport. Parking is easy, security is easy, and getting to the gate is easy. My only complaints are food options, though I haven't tried anything since the restaurant changed.

Source: I average 90 segments a year, usually flying two or three times a month.
