Those with less education are also likely to earn less and to have the money for fancy safety features such as side airbags, automatic warnings, and rear cameras.
Less educated people terminate more pregnancies. Children of less educated parents are more likely to die. There are higher rates of alcohol and drug abuse among the less educated. Maybe, dumb people make a lot of dumb life choices, some of which get them killed.

I would wonder where the information about the deceased's education would have been obtained. The State Police never asked me about my son's education level and neither did the Coroner, the Pathologist who performed the autopsy and not the funeral home.

So 10 or 15 years ago, the poor/dumb people were driving nicer cars than they are now. did they replace their safety features from their old cars to make them less safe now?

This is very true; less educated people don't know how to buckle up, obey the speed limit, understand all the different road signs OR that they even need to take a test to get a license......if they bother to get one at all......so let's ban stupid people from driving.....win-win......and profit......except for the vehicle collision places

More education solves most of life's problems

And, I hate to say it, but I notice that poor people don't have children in proper safety restraints while in the vehicle.

And the woman I was talking about with the infant was driving a brand new Lexus. You're driving a car worth maybe $50k and there isn't a fricking carseat?

What are the chances that the least educated among us tool around in crappy vehicles, ignore laws of the roads, and never use the seat belts?
Why immediately blame the environmental factors?

The underlying issue here is not that a college degree makes you a better driver. Rather, the least-educated tend to live with a lot of other conditions that can make getting around more dangerous.
In other words, if safety features are improving, then even though the non-graduates have older models, they have newer, safer models than non-graduates years before.
Instead the non-graduates are actually showing a worsening trend even though they should have safer cars. My guess is that as graduation rates rise, then those not graduating typically have the greatest social, emotional, and cognitive deficits, which is not good for safe driving.

Exactly... this was a newer GMC SUV they were driving.

Why can't we (as a nation and PC crowd) just accept that some people are better, smarter, and more successful than others? Why does it have to be a human 'fault' that causes the inequality. Nature creates patterns and individuals chose their path. Granted, some paths are easier than others, but everyone makes a choice.
Why should we be surprised that those that have made poor choices in their lives continue to do so?

Pretty much what I expected. She's even got the club-issued nose ring.
Of course it's not because stupid people are stupid. It's because of income inequality. This clown can't get out of the White House soon enough, but I'm sure he'll have left quite a few time bombs for future, competent administrations.

Instead of banning cars, the Obama administration will propose some sort of federally funded program where poor people can trade in their beaters for newer, safer cars.
I wrote this facetiously, but they get free food, housing, utilities, medical care, and cell phones. Soon they will have free internet access. So free cars might not be too far-fetched...

Stop yelling "Darwin." Stupid people procreate at a much higher rate. They are the ones surviving and passing on their genes while the educated say "I am going to wait." Then maybe have one or two kids.
Sorry, just tired of seeing "DARWIN!" every time this topic comes up. Look around. Tell me what you see.

You mean stupid people die more when handling heavy machinery compared to intelligent people. Wow, I'm shocked.

I was at McDonalds (taking a piss, of course I would never eat McDonalds) and I see a guy getting into an AMG. His 4-5 year old is in the front passenger seat. Playing, jumping around. Dad buckles himself up and drives of with the kid unrestrained. Unreal. But hey, "Darwin!"
