Baby Hawk under my house ETA: Pic of Anthony Hawkins on pg 3

And animal control told me "I'm not crawling under your house to get that bird, would you?" I said "shite no, I hate nature, that's why I called you"
So I'm basically just going to throw a towel over it and bring it out to the levee once it comes back out. We have small dogs and eventually that fricker will eat one since he's apparently set up shop under the house now.

ETA: saw him sunbathing in some water yesterday and hopping around this morning, AC guy says he can't fly yet

Im confused.
You want to move it because you think your dogs will kill it, but you want to put it in a situation that WILL kill it, but its better that way because you'll probably won't know one way or another.

At this point Anthony Hawkins (I named him) isn't a threat but if he sticks around and grows up he WILL end up killing one of my dogs, no doubt. I can bring it to LSU Vet school but the AC guy said if he turns out to be healthy, which it seems he is, then they'll tell me to take him back where I found him. He suggested the levee option

I think you may need Wildlife and Fisheries. I called them once on a bird I thought was in trouble they told me to ignore it. But it was in a tree and not on ground.
