Prayers sent for the little girl. I have a 3 month old baby girl and it would kill me to see her in pain like that.

She will be great when it's over

Just curious, as she was 18 months I assume she was walking by now. When and how did you and your wife figure there was a problem? Or was this something that was known at time of birth and y'all had to wait until she was 18 mos to have the surgery?

she was born with only three toes on each foot and her ankles were maloriented. also, her left leg is shorter than her right. they dont like to do the lengthening surgery until they are 18 month sold.

absolutely amazing what this doctor and his staff can do. he basically had to reorient her talus and calcaneus and now it looks like a normal ankle. she will also add about 2" of length to her leg with an external fixator. he is the best in the world when it comes to these surgeries.

Good luck and God bless your daughter and your family. I'm sure she is in very qualified. I'd be nervous wreck if it was my 20 month old baby girl or my soon to be 4 year old boy.

Prayers sent!

Amazing what modern medicine can do-- Prayers sent that she's able to make a full recovery! And as another poster said, they do bounce back so quickly at this age-- chances are she'll hardly remember a bit of it.
