Pretty much the fault of the facility. Gates were supposed to open at 3p, and hadn't by 5p. Things built for a couple of hours.

Wow I watched the 6pm news here in Houston yesterday and they talked about the rush at the gates but said there no injuries. Crowd control at this event must of been pathetic.

Let’s be real here for a sec. Yes, this concert had a large demographic that is being described.
As others have alluded to, there are plenty of “whiter” concerts that have had similar dumb results.
This is not a race thing. This is a stupidity, trashy background, and mob behavior thing.
