Agreed. It's an event that can happen across any class, race, or culture. Sad.

Reminds me of the Who concert in Cincinnati when many fans were killed/ crushed before the show began.

The concert here should have been canceled already. The occupants had already stormed the facility. After seeing the videos of yesterday morning, allowing it to continue was really dumb.

The best way to escape, unfortunately is climb over people, which puts them in more jeopardy.

Up and out.

I wonder how much the police backed down during the earlier stampede, due to feared backlash from our President's Administration.
Say what you want, but since Biden and his bunch have been so open and adamant about police reform, etc. it has to be on many police officers and department's minds across the country.

I'm guessing the Houston PD will get less attacks from Government officials and the CNNs for their lack of involvement yesterday, even though partiers were killed, than they would have had they exerted forces on young black adolescents.

Sounds like the Hillsborough Disaster, where 97 Liverpool soccer fans were crushed to death at a match against Nottingham Forest in 1989.

More like the Who concert in Cincinnati in 1979 where 11 died.

“WKRP in Cincinnati” actually did a serious episode about that incident.

Every teenager in Houston wanted to go to this concert. I know many kids that went to this. This is awful
Sorry boss.

I’ve never heard of this performer.

You’re assuming that it’s all random. If that’s the case then all races should be represented in that video. I didn’t see any Asians or Indian people.
There were a couple of Asian kids in that video. Like it or not, Travis Scott is one of the most popular acts out there and his concert would attract kids of all races/class backgrounds (especially in his hometown of Houston).

It is also more accurate to say cardiac arrest since that is a state of being.

So is “dead”. Isn’t all death also cardiac arrest?

0% politics has poisoned you wing cucks

It looks like they were understaffed. It’s makes sense too, event security wasn’t exactly booming in 2020. This is just another shitshow of mismanagement in a long list of similar events like The Who concert, Wisconsin game or that Hillsboro game

why?

and why not cancel the concert if you don’t have the event staff?

Money is the answer to both your questions

No events, no check for staff. Security went on to find other things to do

They didn’t cancel the concert cause they wanted to get paid.

Hindsight and all but you are correct. Who is going to make that call though? That person would be demonized.

no it wouldn’t dude, race wouldn’t be mentioned.
that was a very (very) diverse crowd yesterday from what I can tell

Yes, that's what I'm saying. You are agreeing with me. There will be nothing said about race by media outlets because this is a Travis Scott concert with a diverse crowd. If it were a by far "whiter" crowd, like you see at most rock concerts or as Woodstock 99 was, you would hear some media outlets make it out to be about race. For example, watch the Woodstock 99 documentary that was on Netflix or HBO. It 100% said that the bad behavior at that festival was essentially because "white people are evil", which is dumb. That is also what a lot of people in the media tried to make the issue to be back in 99. You will never hear the media make bad behavior into a race issue at a concert with majority minorities.

You will have issues at any large concert or festival that has crap security and/or logistics and it has nothing to do with music genre or demographics.

will there be any consequences for those who failed this event planning?

You don’t think the Texas hammer is banging on doors right. I am sure they will be plenty of lawsuits
