I take B-12 every morning, which my doctor suggested. At the time she told me "we can give you a shot, but you really just need to take it everyday and the shot is just temporary".. Take that for what its worth.

I have a B-12 deficiency and get shots quarterly. My lab numbers show improvement but I don't feel any differently after having one.

It depends on why you need them. In high school I got giardia which caused me to become very anemic. I ran track and cross country and at the beginning of my senior year I was running slower than I did as a freshman and just felt terrible. After taking an antibiotic to treat the giardia, my doctor had me taking lots of iron supplements and was giving me B-complex shots several times a week. Over the course of about a month I went from close to 19:00 3-mile times to 15:20. So, for me, it was something that was extremely beneficial.

Yep, Beaver fever. I had it years ago and got B12 shots. Worked well for a few days.

IDK, but B-12 comes in handy if you're slinging crack and trying to stretch out your product. That B-12 swells those rocks up pretty nice after you're done boiling.

You can make another $100 profit off of an 8-Ball if you cut it right.

Just buy the pills at Walgreens

ETA:

Also, I wish I had some cushy office job where I could just meander to the doctors office in the middle of the day.

I have a b12 deficiency, it runs in the family. Been getting B12 shots and infusions at that IV hydration place on Coursey and haven't felt more energetic and all around well in years.

Definitely recommend at least trying

I can tell you from personal experience that the pills are DEFINITELY not effective...cause I've tried them. Zero.

This is just false.

Eat a few before a night of heavy drinking and you'll feel like a million dollars the next morning.

I'm at the doctor's office and see signs all over advertising them. Doesn't seem like it'd be worth it.

Sounds like you need a new doctor. Are you at a chiropractor or something? Usually doctor's posters are Netter's slides blown up to poster size. Maybe something for the flu shot, but never B12 shots.

Yep. It got so bad at my doctors office that I was within a inch of dropping them. It seemed like every time I went in for a check-up, the nurse was pushing some pill on me. People started to complain and they stopped this.

Anywho, to the OP, drop this clown, sounds like he/she is a pill pusher that's getting some good beanies from the pharm(s) sales rep.

Find a good reputable General Practitioner, get them to run a blood test and get them to check your B12 level along with your T-levels.
They will check the other stuff like cholesterol levels, thyroid, hemoglobin, PSA...

Sounds like you are worn out and tired all the time.
You could have a B12 deficiency. Could be another vitamin or mineral deficiency.
Could be you need to lose weight, eat better, start working out...

IDK

It's like a sugar pill, if the patient thinks it helps it helps. It only really helps those with a b12 deficiency
