the "New Wave" genre was incredible.

The synthesizer was revolutionary.

This is the problem with the decade. Looking pretty and sounding "weird" for the sake of being weird. Like I said before, Thank God all of those great 90's bands, with a pair, came along and put the some grittiness back into music.

The same thing needs to happen with today's youth. The crap they listen to is pitiful.

Whatever decade you grew up in is the greatest decade. There are teenagers now who will think this is the GOAT decade when they're in their thirties and forties..

The 70s is the call here. Many of the great acts of the 80s started in the late 70s

While I love the Arena Band era in the 70,s being ateenager... The 80's just was so different and I guess being in my 20's made a difference... REO,Journey etc were great arena bands in the 70's and translated into the 80's type music rather well.... I guess my [DECADE} of music was between 1973-1986.... After that I went country instead of rock/pop........ After saying all this my car radio stays on either 103.3 Baton Rouge or XM 80's on 8.....

You claim the 90's to be better. but first you dismiss all of the really good music and only use a few commercial cheesy acts as your comparison.
