I believe they pay the apartment complexes and businesses to be able to tow from the lots

I got towed 3 times by them way back when they were staging cars at the Circle K on Brightside. I just got dropped off over there with my keys and took my truck back each time.

Got towed from my personal, paid for parking spot once and had to come out of pocket something like $300 to get my truck back. Took two weeks for them to admit to my complex that they towed my truck, and two weeks for the complex to reimburse me

The police refuse to prosecute when people attempt to file charges for unlawful theft in the case of a wrongful tow. There are multiple class action lawsuits against them, but the BR courts keep delaying them and delaying them indefinitely, hoping they'll just go away.
this goes to show they are paying someone high up.

I'm surprised LSU students haven't gone on a tow truck tire slashing binge.

I've thought about driving across the new bridge with some friends and sending some cinder blocks over the ledge into their lot.. but I don't want to accidentally kill anyone.

I tried to steal my teuck from them one time. I was in it and about to ram the gate. But some drunk a-hole got in the way and I didn't want to run him over.

I had the thought in my mind I was going to do it. I had a paper plate on my truck and all. Good luck finding me.

Stupid drunk in the way cost me $238.

I have two friends who had a tow guys from Riverside pull guns on them. If you jump in your car, they will physically throw you out or call for help to get you out physically

Almost everything they do is illegal. I agree that they are paying a big wig off to stay in business. There are standards that are supposed to apply to tow companies. One of those is the max towing charge. I think it is like $125. Riverside blatantly abuses that with no trouble

I haven't lived by LSU for 8 years, but still would pay money to see that little shack burned to the ground. Hell, they even illegally tow from city lots without problems

So the fact they only accept cash means they are probably not reporting all of their income, and probably not recording all the tows they do in a day for taxes. And probably money laundering for the Cartel and Triads.

I was towed in my own apartment complex when I lived there; with my permit tag on and everything.

I had a friend that had a small bag of weed in their glove compartment and had been towed.
When they went to pick up their car, Riverside tried to blackmail him and said they would not give it back to them bc of the drugs they found (found = illegally searched the car for).

His dad ended up calling the police and getting the car back. Riverside didn't say shite to the police about the weed. (Most likely had already been smoked.)

No one got arrested, but it just goes to show you the shady shite they do and that the police are obviously aware of.

My friend Craig was about to fight a guy once for towing his 3000gt when he left it with the lights and engine on and was literally just dropping off some stuff. The tow truck driver pulled a gun.
I wish we had cell phone cameras back then.

I wish this would happen and he'd pull it on the wrong guy and get shot. That shite would stop immediately at that point.

Got towed at my apartment complex when I was at LSU. My tag fell off onto my floor board. The tow truck driver admitted to knowing I lived there but still towed me anyway b/c of no visible tag. The apartment complex was nice enough to knock off the couple hundred on the following months rent.
