I found this place when I was 15 looking up info on recruits who were considering different sec schools. That was 15 years ago and I’m married with kids and never went to jail so I’m sure your little man will be fine. Just maybe hold off on telling him what PIIHB means. He should figure it out organically

Based on what I've seen, probably 65. I'm 62 BTW

I would say 14 is too young regardless of how mature they are. But if they already have X, TikTok, Reddit, and/or IG, the cat is already out of the bag. Whatever age you are comfortable with letting them peruse those is about when you should let them on TD.

Is he asking for an account? ...or are you wanting him to have an account?

Because wanting your 14 year old to be on TD is weird.

Not sure how/why a 14 year old would even know about TD, unless you subjected him to it.

Stick to sports and hobbies as the things you and your son share together.

18-50

Should have a lower and upper age limit.

I'd say he could have one but can only post on the Home/Garden and Food/Drink boards.

I think he would be ok on the Outdoor Board.

I probably wouldn't care. Not like he'd really be exposed to anything on here that kids that age don't already talk about among their friends. Other than he might start calling you Bawpaw

As long as you have had the PIIHB talk with him it should be fine.

I joined this site in 9th grade so yea he’s fine.

To be very serious I do think being on this site through high school and college helped me. At a younger age than most I was reading the money board for tips on saving money, random threads on the OT that were actually helpful. Just various random things I have read here and then researched on my own through this site. To be honest I’ve learned a lot through the years of reading this site.

As a younger person reading this board you get the perspective of a slightly older generation and I think that can be beneficial

This website is far from the worst places he’s going to on the internet, so a TD account won’t add any harm.
