If you're lucky, you may find a nice plasma rifle, plenty of ammo and a shitload of caps.

Wouldn't the electricity likely be shut off in that place?

Electricity is still on in there, everything on the upper floors basically look the same as it did the day it was evacuated. I've got pictures somewhere from the third floor or wherever they kept the psyc patients.

From someone that works in a huge hospital, it's mind boggling that they would just abandon a facility of that size.

Due to most municipalities adopting tougher international building codes there's no freaking way that move didn't lose tens of millions.

Its been mentioned that its so well built no demolition company will touch it. The amount of explosives needed to bring it down would level everything within 2 blocks. I'm sure one day someone will step in and redo it. The few times I went there (for deliveries) it was a real shite hole.

If he is smart, he won't post until a time when they aren't looking for people who have gone in there.

New flooring, fixture, drywall, and paint are cheap compared to a totally new infrastructure.

It's the electrical, med gas, HVAC, and plumbing that will cost a fortune. Hospital renovation is extremely expensive, especially if the hospital is so out of date that it isn't compliant with not only current building codes, but hopital regulatory standards. Dept of Heath, the Joint Commission, etc.
