Should she have probably just not have said anything? Maybe. However, her statement is clearly one of observation and I can completely understand her frustration. I assume the school planed and tried to put on a nice program for ALL of their graduating students, white, black and otherwise. Yet, evidently many of the black people in attendance didn't have the common courtesy and respect to remain until the end of the program.

That doesn't mean it's racist though

It's not. The only thing that happened here is that the people leaving early, who were evidently "all black", got pissed because someone called them out for being disrespectful assholes

Imo, it's not what she said, it's how she said it. Her words were look who's leaving all the black people. First of all by watching the video more white people were leaving them black until her remark.
It's the condescending way she said it. What her words really meant was of course the *iggers are first to leave. We all know they have no class. A bunch of animals is what they are.

Eta. Blaming the dark lord isn't being very apologetic.

After her comments, Gordeuk apologized to the parents via e-mail, according to WXIA-TV.

“A terrible mistake on my part of the graduation ceremony on Friday night,” Gordeuk wrote. “The devil was in the house and came out from my mouth. I deeply apologize for my racist comment and hope that forgiveness in in your hearts.”

she might get away with it

It´s a private school. She´s held only to the scrutinous light of perception by the marketplace ( new enrollment will suffer, or it won´t ).

She was clearly making an observation. But given the climate we live in today. She should have been a bit smarter.

She's pretty stupid and the fact she's blaming "the devil" proves that even more. But people nowadays like to act outraged over just about anything.
