Well for that he is being accurate. Not hard to make $50-60/hr at the lowest in CA as an RN. Pretty standard actually. CA is the Promised Land for nursing in regards to pay.

"Dog shite" is strong. But the sentiment is accurate. But if the OP ever wants to go agency, shitholes are honey holes. I went probably 7 years bouncing around Houston. If i stayed in shite holes I never had to deal with contracts or weekends or holidays. Monday through Thursday. Three out of four days a week. Only work weekend or holidays for "dollar a minute" time.

HCA hospitals aren't that bad. They do pay the most in Louisiana though. You just have to work with lesser technology and equipment. Any big hospital company like them or what Ochsner is soon to be, all preach the same bull shite so you might as well as get paid better.

I worked in Alexandria and made 43/hr. I now work in Alaska and make over 190,000. Look up Hudson staffing out of Tenn. They pay very well.
