Do you have the nitro conversion kit? I cant stand a stout not on nitro

I do not. I'm not a big enough fan of nitro to have dedicated hardware for it, but that's just personal preference. Every once in a while I might order Left Hand nitro, but it's few and far between.

How long can a keg of beer stay good in one of these?

It can stay "good" for a long time, meaning it won't go bad unless you get some serious line infections. Now how long does it stay fresh? That depends on the beer. If I want to go all beer snob, I'd say an IPA tastes best the first week it is on tap. After that it starts falling off. That's just being picky though. I brew a lot of saisons and brett beers, and those are fine for a couple months if they're not hop-forward.

So a quarter keg of Bud Light, like my dad is ditching his kegerator over, probably would only be fresh for a month?

My FIL gets full kegs of bud light and it still tastes completely fine after a month

With a good closed system you should be fine.

It's the IPAs you don't want sitting around.

Nice!
Did you come to our Friday night homebrew tasting? That was usually pretty insane.

No, I didn't make that. I just happened to come across you and another guy from the board (had a Florida hat on) near where the homebrew was being served.

Mercado.

So you still go to the BrewBoard? I haven't spent any time there since we all got pissed off at Jess and formed a new board. Chicken will probably get annoyed and accuse me of recruiting members but the new one is called Brews Brothers.

No, I have not been on brewboard in many years. I remember the brews brothers being formed but can't recall if I ever joined. If I can get off my arse and start brewing again, I will def join up.

That's a good question. I have slowed down on brewing big time so have not really been active on any of the message boards in years.
