How much did it cost you to make that?

It's been 6 or seven years, but I'd estimate:
Chest Freezer: $150 (scratch and dent from Lowes)
SS Faucets and shanks: ~$50/each
Regulator: ~$120
5# CO2 tank: ~$70
Drip tray: ~$30 (I used break metal from our shop to make the tray holder)
Wood: ~$10 collar
Temperature controller: ~$75
Random tubes and misc. shite: ~$25
My advice to anyone wanting to build one, and I say this frequently on the FDB, but don't go cheap on the faucets and shanks. Don't get chrome plated non-perlicks. You will end up replacing them several years down the road. I know because that's what I did.

Order Old Rasputin. If you order Guinness make sure you order a pink dress to wear when you drink it.

Thats not bad at all.
Im between building one with multiple taps and keeping it in the garage. Or purchasing a nice stainless steel one and keeping it next to the bar inside. Fiance will only allow one in the house that matches the appliance.

Trying to decide on a strong Stout..
I like a good strong stout, but it's not something I try and keep on tap. You have to realize that a 1/6 keg is around 50 beers. Strong, full-bodied beers are good for a bit, but then they get to be a chore.

My dad has one of those Best Buy Nostalgia brand kegerators that he offered to give me. Apparently, he think that even with a quarter keg he doesn't drink it fast enough and it eventually goes flat. Problem is, I wouldn't drink it more often than him. Is there some merit to it going flat or does it just need to be tinkered with? I'd love to get it and put a keg of something good in it once my bar is finished.

Isn't that what all OT Ballers have a keg of?

Hell I can imagine. I can float through a Saturday of tailgating and eat a single hot dog, but on a Tuesday I'd die of starvation. I think there is some real thought to that, instead of eating supper just have 5-6 big glasses of a oatmeal stout and boom, no supper needed.
