Flying squirrel routine rarely ends well. I coached a kid who's dad augered it in with 3 kids and a wife at home. None of the kids were over 10.
I hope kid turns out ok but seems very selfish to me. I looked up the mountain he jumped from and 1 in 10 jumpers don't make it

Not for long....

:Rimshot2:

I saw a episode of HBO Real Sports and the "Mecca" for this is a little town in Switzerland that is surrounded by bluffs all around (sane place they did this in the Point Break remake) and it is wild.

I was there a few months ago. One of the wing suit guys (from Colorado) went missing. There was a 10+ day search for him. It was pretty surreal.

The trouble with the sport is that people who take it up don't stick around very long.

Might as well get into rattle snake juggling or dynamite tossing.

No but I am a base jumping, crocodile wrestling, shark diving, volcano luging, bear fighting, snake wrangling, motocross racing bastard.

I am sure that it is an incredible feeling. If I knew that I would not die or be horribly maimed I would love to do it. Look at some of these amazing, crazy videos:

Interlaken?
Lauterbrunnen is just South of Interlaken and has more lifts to jump points. That is where a lot of folks go. It is very close to Schilthorn and Jungfrau peaks.

My friend is a world champion skydiver and record holder. I asked him. About wing suit diving and what I would need to do to get there. He said training doesn't usually start until you've had 300 jumps under your belt.
