Just watched a documentary about it. Looks miserable...

It's a scam. Eat whole foods and everything in moderation
It's a lifestyle not a diet. No shortcuts

Back when I was working at Dick's, I had a co worker who tried it. She lasted 3 days before going to Five Guys and binging hard. It's bullshite and no one who has started it has lasted, your body needs whole foods.

There's a witty comment that can go here. Use your imagination. I'm too tired.

I think it's too dramatic of a short term change on your body. I think a 3-day fast is okay, but not much more than that. Honestly just do your homework on everything before jumping into it. I'm amazed at how many people drink shite like the Big Squeezy, which has ZERO pulp for fiber to break down the natural sugars. It's essentially downing a sugar beverage without pulp or unless you're just getting a green juice.
Like others have said, switching to a healthier overall diet will do much better for your longterm

If my old fishing buddy ever mentioned picking up some lures or something from Dick's he knew he had fricked up. Esp if the fish were biting slow.

I was reading this book by this Christian-Jewish fellow. He had a Ph.D. In something or other. He promoted a diet based on biblical teachings. Explained how the Jews survived the Bubonic Plague because they followed strict rules on how to purify and prepare the meat. Anyway, this dude swears by it, but you can't eat pigs, shellfish and some other things I would never give up.
However, one thing he did stuck out to me. He did a 1 day fast every week. Incorporated it into his long term lifestyle. He was probably doing it for spiritual and self discipline purposes as much as losing weight. But if it takes 3,500 calories to burn a pound of fat, and he's eating a normal 2000 calorie diet a day, after two weeks this dude was burning a pound of fat, plus 500 more calories. That would add up over months and years, and would seem to be more effective long-term than a 7-day juice fast. I think I may start it next week.
Now, there is a hardcore lifter on one of these boards who takes fasting to a whole new level. Dude definitely knows what's up. Maybe somebody can come in and link his threads. Good luck to you.

I have done it and felt the best I have felt in many years, after the first few days. However I did very little fruit to kerp the sugar down.
I continue to juice, it is a great way to get a lot of nutrition each day.

Exercise and Cut out sugar and grains. It's hard but there is no magic pill or substance to help you lose weight.

I did juicing for a 30 days. Lost 30 lbs. I'm not sure I would do it again for that long.
Here be my numbers:
10.6 lbs in 5 days
16.4 lbs in 10 days
21.4 lbs in 15 days
25.0 lbs in 20 days
27.2 lbs in 25 days
29.4 lbs in 30 days
The thing is you do feel good. Mind is clearer. Skin is clearer. And you rarely feel hungry. You should only do minimum exercise, like walking.
You will gain some weight back once you start eating solid food again. The trick to not putting the weight back on is to create and follow a healthy meal plan. Frankly, I would do that before starting juicing.
So I'm saying, create a healthy meal plan, so you know what you will eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday of the week in advance. Cut out the shite you know you're not suppose to eat. Follow that plan for a couple of weeks. Then do your juicing. Once you finish juicing, start back on your meal plan.
