I haven't watched an entire Super Bowl since the Saints.
It may be on in the background, but I'll be doing something else like my app programming or my web design.

Correct!! The AFC Championship Game was two weekends ago. And the The NFC Championship Game was the same day.
And in two days, we'll have The AFC-NFC Championship Game. Not sure why this is so confusing.

I am going to record it.
After my wife goes off to a combo of socializing and evening Sunday church, I will watch it. I get to skip the ads, times out and halftime.
It will be halftime when I start in on it, so I will not run into the end even though I will be advancing the recording from when guys go out of bounds to when the ball is declared in play by the official.
I watch a lot of football like that. Have for 15 years at least. I often watch LSU like that.
I don't like sitting while the TV guys pontificate and the play is being called.
You get a whole game in in about 50 minutes.
