Are they worth the money?
Any certain ones you'd recommend for someone with terrible digestion?
TIA

They are great for you.
I had surgery years ago and the antibiotics really fricked my stomach up. It still isn't the same and sometimes I take a month's supply whenever it gets to be too much.

Be careful that you don't get them near antibiotics.

I sometimes eat the yogurt Jaime Lee Curtis is pitching on TV, but that is because I am hungry

Don't be discouraged if your first attempt doesn't help. Everyone is different and the same ones don't work for everyone. My wife used to get mine from the Winn Dixie pharmacy - I think they compounded it there. Worked great for years, then suddenly they stopped making it for some reason. I tried a couple others that tore my stomach up and I gave up for a while. Then I tried another and it has worked well for me again.

Yes. You should take them the rest of your life. Both of these are high quality:

They are effective. But just eat more greens if you wanna save money.

Yes and it's practically cured my once debilitating IBS. I used to just buy the ones at Walgreens (I forget the name brand), now I just take Armor-V every morning and it's a multivitamin that has probiotics in it.

Yes. I take Culturelle, which was suggested by a friend of mine who is an ER dr. Long story short, I do not do well on antibiotics. The last time I was on them I got really sick. It was during the weekend so I called him to ask if I could stop taking the type of antibiotics I was on. He told me absolutely not, but suggested I go get probiotics and yogurt. That helped a lot. Since then, I started taking them.. Not every day, but several times a week..

Yes take the refrigerated ones everyday. Minimum 50B. I take 100B/daily. Healthy gut is vital

Go to Whole Foods. They will help you. Some have a much higher percentage of a certain bacteria that is really helpful.

I take the Sam's members mark brand 5 strain ones. And they are awesome, I'm now regular, when before I'd only go every few days.
And if you are on antibiotics, take them 4 hours apart

I read you should focus more on number of different strains of bacteria in the probiotic moreso than the active culture count
something about probiotic studies still being a bit in its infancy and they aren't sure which bacteria are most effective. There is a better chance of getting the bacteria that reacts right with you if you have more strains in your probiotic

OP, have you at least tried Metamucil first? Keeps me regular.

Grab a Kombucha. It's full of probiotics and all other good stuff.
