I have a 120" Screen and a BenQ projector in our media room
a Sofa we call the pit and a Monster Sac and maker
An Onkyo 636 with Paradigm fronts and a HSU research Sub-woofer that'll shake the walls.
I figure I have prob 3500 - 4000 in it Mostly acquired over time

We are putting one in but I'm just in the thinking about it/design phase.

Let me know if you need info. I'm focused on commercial work now but keep up with the residential stuff.

The Hsu subs are a great bargain. The SVS subs are incredible for the price.

Is this thing comfortable for adults?

I have a room that will be converted when the rest of the remodel is done. I was all hot for theater seating until I realized I could get a nice leather reclining couch combo for half the price that also allows me to lay down on it when the old lady kicks me out of bed.
Any reason to go with the chairs over a couch that can be offered?

Same thing I've been wondering. It seems like the chairs may be more of a novelty. Although if you have friends over at least it doesn't end up being a bunch of dudes piled up on one couch.

I did a 110" screen with a decent Mitsubishi projector (waiting for 4k projectors to come down to buy that with all klipsch 7.2. Did two lazy boys in the front and a full couch in the back on a 8" raised platform. I guess all in I am at 14k. Nothing fancy in the room just 4 columns with sconce lights.

I did mine myself. Sony hd projector with 96 inch screen. Two 42 inch samsung tv's mounted on either side of screen so we can watch three games at once. No windows in room, walls painted dark purple, large wrap around couch. Mini fridge and popcorn maker. Bought most everything including all brackets for tv and projector as well as the screen. Paid a guy 500 bucks to hook it all up. Total set up was under 4500 bucks.

Can you share what your 8 zones are and what your sound system in each is? Sounds badass as is.
Also, I'm kind of new/dumb to the Zone 2 idea. The analog audio aspect is simple enough (long run, repeat source or alternate source available). This receiver pictured below has a Zone 2 video out that's an ethernet connection. How do you "extract" that output at the alternate location?

My old house had one, we used it about 5 or 6 times in the 4 years we lived there.
This was before kids so I would imagine it may be used more today if we had one.
I didn't build the home but if I had to put a price on the theatre i would guess around 50k.
