Been looking at some older trucks to use as a work truck but paint is bad in a few spots and thought about if u purchased it putting a paint job on it. Don't have to be perfect. Anybody ever used them or brought it somewhere else in the br area for a cheap paint job?

I did about 15 years ago to recoat a 1990 Nissan Sentra. Didn't have the car long enough to tell you how it held up, but it was a $300 paint job.

I've used Earl Scheib before. It was okay. Much better than the original 1980's peeling paint.

I would wet sand it yourself first. They don't sand, they just lay the paint right on after cleaning.

My parents has a Honda prelude repainted for me in high school many yrs ago. I thought it looked good back then but I would have pretty much driven anything to avoid taking the bus.

Unless you actually fix dents, and prep the car.. all paint jobs will suck.

I would just drive it as is, or rattle can and rattle can clear it.

Friend in high school was given a truck with a crany airbrushed pink and purple stripe on each side. Got a fact o bake job for $500. Was enough to cover it and look okay for a high school kids truck. But when you opened doors and stuff, you could see overstay and the fact that they did poor prep work. Not sure how long it lasted.

They repainted some fleet Chevy Express vans for us for about $2500. It looks good. It's by no means show quality. But for what you are looking for, you can't beat it.
