This is the place to go. Every time our dog stays at Camp Bow Wow she ends up with kennel cough.

We use Camp Bowwow in Nashville all the time.

It's $40 a night, which is the same as our vet and they are awesome with our dog. My wife can watch him play with the other dogs on their webcam app too.

They have on-call vets, groomers, etc. too.

One caveat, all the dogs at our CBW have to go through an interview. They let ours play with 3 dogs with different temperaments for 1 hour each to make sure our dog wasn't violent/aggressive/territorial. He passed, but the lady said over half do not pass. They have to do this because there is so much demand and the dogs run around playing together all day, they aren't locked up like most boarders.

Camp Bow Wow is expensive. You don't need to facetime with your dog while you're away. I'm sure there are cheaper, reliable options in Nawlens.

CBW in Nashville is $40 a night. That is the same as our vet and our dog absolutely loves it. He jumps out the car and sprints to the door when we go drop him off. Its like a summer camp for dogs.

And the wife likes the webcam.

Also, they'll clip their nails, bathe them, etc. for reasonable prices. We pick our 75 lb. goldendoodle up and he's clean, trimmed, and so exhausted he literally falls asleep on our backseat immediately in the car.

Used to board my dog there. It was super expensive and my dog got sick after being there a couple of times.

Now I board at a vet for half the price.

Gross bro. That's contagious and if your dog brings that to CBW they freak out. They quarantine until someone picks them up.

Then they disinfect and your dog may not be allowed back.

I'm well aware, I'm listed as my parents emergency contact so I get the calls while they are on a beach somewhere. Not blaming camp bow wow for the kennel cough but it's happened three times so far. The dog is also retarded though

GF used them in the past. Too pricey for me. If I can't get anyone to check in on my boys, they stay at the vet for 1/4 the price.

I've used them before with great success. There was a very sweet couple out in Metairie who is on there for $25-30 a night. You take your dog there and they watch them at their home. She sent mine home with presents and even took 'glamour' shots of him while he was there. She was great and would highly recommend. He had a great time going there.

Phhhhbt. They have findananny sites and babysitting sites for your kids. I wasn't using that.....not like I was dropping off kids with a complete stranger.

These people have reviews on dogvacay and references if needed. It's a pretty safe site and I wouldn't have found her any other way.

I was happy to get the glamour shots of my little man too. She didn't charge for them and I didn't really have any good pics of him.

If your dog isn't* up-to-date with bordatella vaccine, they aren't even allowed at our CBW. That helps a lot, but it certainly doesn't 100% prevent it.

And to other folks saying they pay $30, how is $40 a night too expensive for a weekend? That's $20 total more a weekend and your dog gets worn out with other pups and full time staff.

I just dropped mine off for the day so she could run around with all the other dogs and burn off some energy. If they tell you a black lab/beagle mix was being an a-hole to your dog, sorry

We have a single friend that comes to stay with our dogs. We pay her $50 a night. I also have four dogs, so that seemed like a reasonable price to me.

You have to bring your dog for a "play date" so to speak though... A trial run to make sure they aren't an a-hole before they let them come.

One of my parent's dogs failed this test. It's not only to see if the dog is an instigator. My parent's dog failed because she was antisocial and kind of shied away to the corner for each activity.

Take your pet to Camp Bow Wow. We love it. A little expensive but we have a 2 year old Choc lab and she can't stay cooped up indoors all day with only someone to come by and let her out. She would literally eat our house. At Bow Wow she gets to play all day long with other dogs and has a big room to sleep in. She loves it.

And to those complaining about kennel cough...you need to get informed. Kennel cough is a generic term for the common cold in dogs. It is not some serious fatal illness unless your dog is untreated or has some other health issues or is very old. The vaccine only prevents certain types of the illness, much like the flu vaccine does not cover every single strain of flu in one year. Our dog has gotten kennel cough twice after coming back, a quick call to the vet and she is on antibiotics and fine. That hasn't happened since we first started taking her though, probably because she has built up a tolerance to the more common strains, just like children do at a daycare or school.

And Bow Wow is very good about letting their clients know when their animal needs to update their shots. They always call and let us know and they wont let your dog stay if they are not up to date. It isn't Bow Wow's fault your dog got a cold any more than it is the schools fault when your child gets sick. This line of thinking is just idiotic.
