I bet your friends love having to agree to take care of your dog every time you go out of town

We love having our friend's pets come over for a few days. Our two dogs have a blast running wild with them, playing in the mini-bayou and getting covered in mud, running thru the pastures and the woods and just having a great time being dogs.

We also have fun taking pics with funny comments and posting them on FaceBook for their owners to see.

I've used them before with great success. There was a very sweet couple out in Metairie who is on there for $25-30 a night. You take your dog there and they watch them at their home. She sent mine home with presents and even took 'glamour' shots of him while he was there. She was great and would highly recommend. He had a great time going there.

That sounds great. If they are going thru the trouble of taking fun pics then you know your pup is in good hands and that the people there enjoy having them.

We don't quite do glamour shots with our visiting pups. We take pics of them getting all muddy, swimming in the creek, running with our dogs, making friends with the cats and posing with little signs that are notes to the owners about everything they have been up to.

I think I would rather my animals be kenneled for a week at a vet's office than running around with a bunch of random dogs. They may be miserable in a kennel but for those of us who have had to have their dog stitched up after a dog fight know the head aches that come along with it.

I guess maybe if you started bringing your dog there when it was a puppy but for me to bring my adult dogs into that environment would be disastrous. Unfortunately I don't think enough dog owners are responsible enough to make that same decisions.
