The drinkers with running problem type, not the cannabis type. I hadn't heard of a hash run in a long time but saw one this morning.

They don't seem as popular in the US. Just wondering if anyone on the OT has experience with the Hash House Harriers and what it was like.

Yes, I ran with the group in Oxford, MS a few times. Had a lot of fun.

Seems it would be more of a Hash run to the Taco Bell

I did hash runs, but of the opium variety.

Not sure what a hash run is, but I have had some type of runs since eating Mexican on cinco de mayo.

The New Orleans group used to be pretty active. I saw them at races and after parties a few times and it looked like a lot of fun.
The Red Dress Run in Nola is kind of put on my this group as well.

I drank too much last night, ate some fried breakfast potatoes, and now I'm struggling with active hash runs.

Does that count?

I'm not a hasher, but they have a pretty active club in New Orleans. Very eclectic group too...lots of weird chanting and post-run rituals.

They're the ones that actually organize the Red Dress Run, which is somewhat of a big deal I guess.

We had some good friends that were hashers. They always had a lot fun doing them, but it seems to be for younger people or singles with no kids.

Our friends actually ran past our house and into the woods at the end of our street without realizing it. That was the end of their run spot. Sounded like a hell of a party.

Its a pretty big deal over here in Asia. I run pretty regularly with a group here thru the jungle then follow that up with serious boozing

I've partied with NOH3 many times and, honestly, they drink a lot more than I care too. Maybe I'm just getting old.

Douala. It's big with the Brit and Brit influenced expats.

Terrible title, very disappointed!

The NOLA group is very active but it felt to me some (not all) were trying to hard to be over the top instead of just having fun.

I'm a semi serious runner so not for me. Love to throw down after the run but running and drinking doesnt turn my crank.

There is a group local to the BTR area. I believe they operate a closed facebook page.

Nice.

I had numerous hash runs in the '70's. Good times.
