They only thing at Southeastern that's worth a damn is their teaching and nursing degrees. Everything else is shite, especially their college of business.

I went to LSU my first two years of college as a general business major. I didn't have a clue what I wanted to do. Once I figured it out, LSU didn't offer my degree. I was heartbroken, but SLU offered it so I transferred. Best decision of my life. I don't care that people hate on SLU it has been a blessing coming to slu and I know many people who made good money with a degree from SLU in business.

I have a good friend who chose not to go to college, basically said he didn't need it for his field. I graduated and made less than him. It felt pretty shitty for a while (not that I made less than him specifically, but the shitty salary that I had out of school). It's been 4 years and I've almost tripled my salary, so I'm feeling pretty good about my degree now.

There is a lot of money to be made in plants. But do you really want to work eleventy billion hours a year, nights, holidays, and half of your weekends?

Health Information Management. I have a graduate degree and I'm on the IS side of healthcare now, though.

Tell me about it. I am the only one in college and the only one without a kid. Out of my 5 close friends two are in the military the other 3 are in the plants and all have kids from 1 month old to 3 years old.

1. Get your degree
2. Get job at friend's plant
3. Get promoted using your degree as leverage
4. Be friend's boss
5. Profit

That sounds terrible

I don't discriminate based on education, but most of my friends either have graduated or are in school.

I have said this before and it becomes very heated. Guys that don't get degrees become sensitive when you say things like that.

First off, It's stupid to hate on people for something as vain as how much money they make. That goes for both your friends and also you. Money isn't everything.

Now, statistics are just numbers. Obviously there are exceptions. Your friends who work their arse off as an operator or in the field their whole lives might make more than te average college grad. You, depending on your major and motivation, could make much more, or much less. You also might have more longevity in your career. It's impossible to tell who will make more money from the information given, but it's safe to say they will make more than someone flipping burgers.

Also, talking about your salary with people is grade A trashy

Sounds like they know the score then. They're probably just busting your balls about getting your degree for fun cause that's all they have. And if it's not all in good fun then they jelly bro.

I know mechanics making 150k a year. Their helpers most of the work, as many trades. I know fishermen who make six figs and work during the summer, take winters off.
