Man y'all better kick your women in gear.. I've got 5 with one on the way...she Begs me to get out the house.. Lol.. I'll be glad when the oldest is old enough to baby sit by herself... That way we won't have to pay that extra fee..
Just put a few more in her the more you have the more she wants to get away haha... (could be the reason we keep having more)but we are done with six..
In all honestly though.. We hardly ever have a babysitter.. We always go out as a family.. More entertaining that way!

Could be a mild form of post-partum depression.

Women are wired different we all know.
My guess is PPD. Trust me it can be a son of a bitch and you don't even know she has it as men are just wired different. Hard to call them out on it though to get them help.

PPD is real and a serious condition. I suggest you have her see her physician and an appropriate counselor

She may just have a different idea of what life would be like after children. It may have been how her parents did things after they had kids.

PPD 17 months later?
Welcome to fatherhood and marriage with kids. This is normal.

If it's any consolation it does get easier when they get a little older and you're not changing shite diapers all day. Sex comes back too. At least that has been my experience. 17 months is a tough age.

If PPD was never initially treated it likely never went away. I would say 17 months isn't out of question. And it doesn't start the second the baby pops out

Sounds like the wife and I. Ours is 4 now. Your wife sounds smart or overwhelmed. Mine does not like to go,out nearly as much. Nor do I. Hate asking mom to watch our son to go out and drank.
My wife understands what yours may too. Kids don't give a frick about your hangover, and I am less than useless with my son when I am hungover. Wife knows our son will want to climb back in her uterus whenever she feels her worst.
You sound young? What's your age? If all of your friends have no children or just are irresponsible you may need to branch out. Find friends with similar interests meaning kids. Sadly kids are a time when friends begin to drift apart. Like graduation. From high school and college.

Have you let her know?
It's sad some women are changed from fun, spontaneous women to moms. I would talk to her about balancing being a wife vs a mom. Don't let it get to where she is 100% mom. That's when people get bossed around all day and not laid at night.

Do you even have a wife or kids?
