Anyone else battle this? We live fairly close to both her side of the family and mine. So of course, both moms expect us to come by to visit. It's a no win with the parents or the wife!

Why not go to both for a couple hours?

Do both, or you call your parents and tell them the problem outright and say they have to come to your house and have your wife do the same. ask the moms to come early and help.

I know you think it is such a pain but at least they are all still alive to visit, some don't have that.

I feel bad for people that don't like spending time with their families.

Have kids. Then make the parents come to you (this works). If you don't want them to come, don't invite them. But after a couple of years you will see you hold all of the power for the first time in your life, and you don't have to go anywhere.

Not a fight so far, have it split Sat/Sun but usually end up splitting the day on holidays or something similar.
