I'm looking at purchasing a price friendly small to midsize pickup and the 2016 Chevy Colorado Z71 for around $35K has caught my eyes. I've read nothing but good reviews by credited publishers so far but looking for some personal reviews. TIA.

I'm interested in this too. Looks like a good truck for the price.

I think he means smaller-size. Colorado is not a full size pickup.

Chevy Colorado isn't in the same class as Silverado, F150, Tundra, etc.

I have a 2015 Colorado Z71. I have loved it since the moment I first drove it. IMO, the interior was superior to Tacoma and Frontier. Also, a Smooth smooth ride. Very quiet ride too. MPG is as advertised. Mine came with a Bose sound system. I have no regrets a year later.

I think he means top of the line of Ford/Chevy, but not Toyota or Nissan.

Get a Tacoma and don't look back.

Awesome, thanks. How much did you pay, if you don't mind me asking? MSRP for 2016 is around $35K. Also, have you pulled anything with it?

I haven't, because my nuts dropped years ago and I have hair on my body. I drive a real truck like a real man, not a little pissant Chevy Colorado.

I don't understand why anyone buying a truck would not get a full-size truck.

Got mine at Lone Star Chevy in Houston. My price was around 35k too. Wasn't much mark down since it was a brand new model. Literally, their only z71 at the time. I have towed a few trailers here and there. You can tell you're pulling weight, but the Colorado had no issues.

I look forward to revisting this in 3 years. GM's interiors do not hold up well compared to just about every other manufacturer IMO.

The funniest part of this is you showed our insecurity. I bet you get so angry when another man just talks to your wife.

I don't need a full-size truck. If I needed a full-size truck, I would make a thread about a full-size truck.

Have you ever driven a 4 door F150 4x4 to and from the 8th floor of a compact parking garage in the middle of a large city every day of the week for work?

We have two (both V-6 crew cabs) in our fleet, they're both actually GMC Canyons.

23-25 mpgs with the V-6, and will do about 90%+ of what usual trucks are asked to do outside of heavy towing.

We've had one for almost two years and the other for several months, zero defects in either.

From a cabin standpoint, they are similar to a Jeep Grand Cherokee in the first two rows.

Avoid the four cylinder, the difference in real world fuel economy versus performance is worth the upgrade to the V-6.
